Web Safe Fonts
A font is web-safe if it is widely used and available on virtually all devices. SiteSpinner recognizes the fonts shown in Figure 1 as web-safe since they are on every Windows computer. SiteSpinner indicates a web-safe font with a “WS” before the font name. Fortunately, SiteSpinner’s web-safe fonts are also web-safe for Mac and mobile devices.
Nowadays, other fonts are web-safe since they are installed on over 85% of devices. These fonts are Arial Black, Helvetica, Impact, Gill Sans, Palatino, Baskerville, Garamond, and Brush Script MT.
You must use a web-safe font to ensure your text appears the way you want in a browser. To use a non-safe web font, refer to the sections “Custom Fonts” and “Google Fonts” from the menu.
